The Holland Township Parks & Recreation Department is currently hiring seasonal staff for the upcoming 2023 spring and summer season. We are looking for hardworking and responsible individuals that want to work outside.
We open positions in the following areas:
*General Recreation Aide
*Little League Baseball & Softball Umpires
*Scorekeepers
*Youth Sports Site Supervisors
*Seasonal Parks Maintenance/Grounds Crew Positions
Seasonal Parks Maintenance Position Job Duties:
General park maintenance and labor (weed whipping, backpack blowing, weeding, etc.), athletic field maintenance and prep (field dragging, field raking, field chalking, the lining/painting of fields), light janitorial duties (dispose of trash in parks, etc.), and more. Individuals must have a good driving record and be willing to submit to a background check.
*We have a variety of positions available for the upcoming season.
*Hours are typically Monday through Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm with some weekend work required.
*Pay will be based on experience, starting at $14.25 an hour.
General Recreation Aide
To assist the recreation department with a variety of youth programs as a Youth Sports Instructor, Site Supervisor, and/or Scorekeeper are some of the roles desired for this position.
*We have a variety of positions available for the upcoming season.
*Hours are typically during the evening Monday through Thursday beginning at 5:00pm - 9:30pm.
*Some weekend work may be requested/required.
*Pay will be based on experience, starting at $12.00 an hour
Little League Baseball & Softball Umpires
Youth league umpires will umpire youth baseball and softball games during the spring and summer season (April through July). We are looking for individuals with experience playing, coaching, or umpiring baseball / softball at any level. Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
*We have a variety of positions available for the upcoming season.
*Hours are evenings during the week Monday through Thursday, beginning at 5:00pm - 9:30pm.
*Some Saturday morning work may be requested.
*Pay will be based on experience, between $20.00 - $30.00 a game.
