Hawthorn Pond Natural Area

This 40-acre park is located south of Adams Street at 9876 Black River Court. It offers walking trails around the 5-acre Hawthorn Pond with a kayak launch ramp, fishing deck, boardwalk and lookout stations at various locations around the pond as well as on the Macatawa River. The Hawthorn Pond Natural Area was developed in 2011 and is jointly owned by Holland Charter Township and Ottawa County.

The park is open year-round for fishing. In recent years, the Township has planted fish to help with the fish population.

All Holland Charter Township parks are open daily from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. The picnic shelter at this location is available for public use on a first come, first serve basis. This picnic shelter may not be held, reserved or rented unless it is a Holland Charter Township sponsored event. (Example: Annual Holland Charter Township Easter Egg Hunt at Quincy Park).
