Join us for an afternoon of baseball!! Work on getting ready for the upcoming baseball season at the West Ottawa Youth Winter Break Baseball Clinic on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the WO High School North Gymnasium with the West Ottawa Varsity Baseball Coaches & Players!! We will be working on hitting, fielding, catching, throwing, pitching and more with the West Ottawa Varsity Baseball Coaches & players. The clinic fee is $35.00 per participant and includes a shirt. Holland Township Recreation will be offering one of its most popular programs - Intro to Basketball this fall & winter. We will be offering two different 4-week sessions. This is an introductory class that teaches the basics of basketball with a fun twist. This program is open to current Kindergarten & 1st graders that are NEW to the game of basketball. Holland Township Recreation is teaming up with the West Ottawa basketball program in offering a NEW twist on one of its most popular programs and offering "Basketball Dribblers" once again this coming season. We will be offering two different 4-week sessions. This is more of an experienced class that teaches more skills of the game of basketball. This program is open to current 1st & 2nd graders that have taken the Intro to Basketball class before and are not new to the game of basketball. The first half of each class will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, offense and more with the second half of the class featuring game/league play as part of the overall class experience. The goal of this class is to teach fundamental skills as well as expose students to game competition. This class features Holland Township Recreation Staff & West Ottawa Basketball Staff.

The Girls 5th & 6th Grade Basketball League will be playing in a local area West Michigan league traditional 5-on-5 league with featuring other teams from Holland Township / West Ottawa Schools, Zeeland, Holland, Holland Christian, Saugatuck, Fennville and Hamilton. This league will have game play on Saturday mornings during January & February 2025 and team practices on weeknight evenings twice a week on Monday & Thursday evenings. Volunteer head coaches & assistant coaches are needed for this program to be successful!!

The Little Panthers Girls 3rd & 4th Grade League will be playing in an in-house 4-on-4 league with featuring other teams from Holland Township / West Ottawa Schools. This league will have game play on Saturday mornings during January & February 2024 and team practices on Monday Evenings from either 5:30pm to 6:30pm or 6:30pm to 7:30pm beginning on Monday, January 8th . Games will start on Saturday, January 20th. Registration deadline for the program has been extended to Tuesday, January 2nd @ 5pm. Volunteer head coaches & assistant coaches are needed for this program to be successful!!!
