Holland Township Recreation will be offering the following basketball programs for the upcoming 2024 - 2025 fall and winter seasons.
BOYS & GIRLS - INTRO TO BASKETBALL - WINTER 2025
Holland Township Recreation will be offering one of its most popular programs - Intro to Basketball this fall & winter. We will be offering two different 4-week sessions. This is an introductory class that teaches the basics of basketball with a fun twist. This program is open to current Kindergarten & 1st graders that are NEW to the game of basketball. We will cover dribbling, passing, shooting, defense and more. This class features Holland Township Recreation Staff.
Program Dates & Times:
Saturday Mornings - 8:30am to 9:30am
Session #1 - January 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2025.
Session #2 - February 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2025.
Where: Great Lakes Elementary School

BOYS & GIRLS - BASKETBALL DRIBBLERS LEAGUE & CLINIC - WINTER 2025
Holland Township Recreation is teaming up with the West Ottawa basketball program in offering a NEW twist on one of its most popular programs and offering "Basketball Dribblers" again this winter for the third season. We will be offering two different 4-week sessions. This is more of an experienced class that teaches more skills of the game of basketball. This program is open to current 1st & 2nd graders that have taken the Intro to Basketball class before and are not new to the game of basketball. The first half of each class will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, offense and more with the second half of the class featuring game/league play as part of the overall class experience. The goal of this class is to teach fundamental skills as well as expose students to game competition. This class features Holland Township Recreation Staff & West Ottawa Basketball Staff.
Program Dates & Times:
Saturday Mornings - 9:45am to 11:15am
Session #1 - January 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2025.
Session #2 - February 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2025.

3rd & 4th GRADE GIRLS INDOOR BASKETBALL LEAGUE – WINTER 2025
The 3rd & 4th Grade Girls Youth Basketball Indoor League will be playing in an "in-house" league featuring other teams from Holland Township / West Ottawa Schools. This league will have team practices on Monday evenings & game play on Saturday mornings during January & February 2024. Volunteer head coaches & assistant coaches are needed for this program!! Format of play will be either 4-on-4, or the traditional 5-on-5 depending on program numbers.

This league will have team practices on weeknights & game play on Saturday mornings during January & February 2025.
Volunteer head coaches & assistant coaches are needed for this program!!
